JAMB Gives Universities Warning On Changing Applicant Course that is why JAMB has declared they will not allow transfer of applicants from one program (course) in one institution to another at any tertiary institution must be done with the permission of the candidate concerned. The Director of Registrar for JAMB Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made this clarification during an interactive meeting together with Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology (COHEADS) at its 148th Regular meeting , which was held on June 8 2022, in Abuja.

He added that this will prevent the illegal transfer of qualified candidates from a specific program in order to create space for those who aren’t qualified. But, with this protection the candidates who are proposed to transfer will not be listed on new courses until the transfer has been accepted by the candidate concerned.

Oloyede stated that the policy follows the Board’s guidelines that prohibit changing the preference of specific courses or programmes which are stated by the candidates, in the event that they have indicated the contrary.
